Mathieu, the lead recording artist from Reckless Jacks commisioned me for a multi part series of promo shots. I spent some time getting to know Mat and his story so that we could weave this into the narrative for the shoot. Mat is a travleing session player and has visited a lived in many parts of the world doing what he loves. To reflect this we decided to use the theme 'Journeyman'. I had been given a tip off about an old wooden shipwreck on the the Thames. The location was ideal as it incorporated the journey aspect (with the river and boat) and also the urban landscape (another of his main inspirations) that Mat was keen to include.
